Knowing God

God - A message of Good News and Hope

God already knows you. He knows your name, your heart, and your desires. His desire is that you would know Him. There is a way. Here it is:

1. Realize that you are separated from God.

The Bible says that sin separates us from God. Our sins block our view of God and our access to God.

Biblical Truth: "Behold the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But iniquities (sins) have separated you from God; and your sins have hidden His face from you." Isaiah 59:1,2

Biblical Truth: "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Roman 3:23

2. The penalty for sin is eternal separation from God.

Biblical Truth: "The wages of sin is death (eternal separation from God), but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23

3. God has provided a way for us to be save through the death of Jesus on the Cross.

Biblical Truth: "But God demonstrated His love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 Jesus took the punishment for our sin. He died so that we might live.

4. We are saved by faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Biblical Truth: "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be save." Romans 10:9

Biblical Truth:"For by grace (God's free gift) you have been saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God." Ephesians 2:8

5. You must personally receive Jesus as your Savior and Lord.

Biblical Truth: "For whosoever calls on the name of the Lord, shall be saved ." Romans 10:13

Biblical Truth: "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name." John 1:12

Biblical Truth: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

Do you believe what you have just read? Do you feel that you should be saved?

Here is what you should do, it is as simple as ABC.
A - Admit that you are a sinner (be honest with God).

B - Believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus, paying the price for your sins.

C - Call on the Lord (Pray). Pray right now. Pray sincerely. Pray and ask God to forgive you of your sins. Pray and ask Jesus to save you. Pray and believe.
